On Friday, December 20 from 6:30-9pm, West Edge Community Church is organizing for the 5th year, a heart-warming community event entitled "Shine Bright Port Credit." All are welcome to attend this free family-friendly event that will take place at 157 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga.
Event organizers are asking all that attend to show their support for local families in need by donating a unwrapped toy for the Region of Peel's Toys for Tots Program and/or a gift card for a houseware store to support a local initiative to provide transitional housing for
survivors of human trafficking.
Highlights of the evening will include activities for families and children hosted by local business and community agencies, a silent auction, and special performances by award winning artist Arlene Paculan, StageCoach, a children's theatre arts company, and other local talent.
Festive treats and beverages will also be provided by local businesses. Additional speciality drinks will also be available for purchase with all proceeds going to support young girls fleeing human trafficking find transitional housing in Peel.
Be a light, share your love, and leave a legacy by joining local businesses, community partners and residents in supporting local families in need this Christmas.
