Region of Durham Paramedic Services is celebrating National Paramedic Services Week on May 24th - May 31st. To celebrate this we are opening our doors to the public on Saturday May 30th 2020.
The open house will be at RDPS Headquarters, 4040 Anderson St, Whitby, from 10am -2pm. Parking is available at the Hebron Christian Reformed Church at 4240 Anderson St. The free open house will include fun activities for all ages, with games, prizes, and a teddy bear clinic. There are Paramedic real-life scenarios planned for 11:00 and 13:00 and a Tactical Paramedic Demonstration at 12:00.
"The open house will provide and opportunity to meet your Paramedics, check out vehicles, equipment, and attempt some life-saving skills, like CPR. The scenarios and demonstration will include real-life situations that Paramedics respond to daily and will give you a glimpse of what happens behind the scene of an emergency. " Gary Lewis - Superintendent, Quality and Development.
