Are you a believer? Listen to some of the paranormal experiences staff have had within the Museum homes!
During the Victorian Era, there was an extensive mourning culture created that employed elaborate dress, jewellery, funeral trappings, photographs and a myriad of commemorative items. The term ‘mourning’ came to mean more than just grieving for the loss of a loved one; it comprised all the ways that the Victorians expressed that grief.
October’s Tea & Talk from Home reviews the past OM exhibit, Mourning After: The Victorian Celebration of Death and Museum ghost stories! Discover how mourning was expressed; from funerals to clothing, post-mortem photography and cemeteries.
Tickets are available by donation, online at Eventbrite.ca. The is an online event via Zoom.
