Join us on Sunday, February 27th at 1 pm, when we welcome celebrated Brighton, ON author Dan Buchanan. Author of three books, 'the History Guy' will be on hand to discuss his latest publication HMS Speedy: The Tragedy and Mystery of the Final Voyage.
The "HMS Speedy was lost in a storm off Presqu'ile Point in 1804 and its remains have never been found...or have they? Here is a fresh look at the events around the loss of the Speedy as well as brand new information about the search for the remains of the Speedy conducted in the early 1990s. What did they find? Was it really the Speedy?" Buchanan will also highlight the Oshawa connections to the story of the Speedy.
