A collaboration of organizations within the city are coordinating the Communities with Brooms event, bringing volunteers together, as well as representatives from Downtown Oshawa BIA, M.P. Colin Carrie, M.P.P. Jennifer French, Durham Regional Police, John Howard Society, Durham Recruiting and the City of Oshawa. 

The event aims to clean up downtown Oshawa’s streets, foster community pride, build partnerships and raise awareness regarding clean and safe communities.  

Communities with Brooms is part of the City’s annual Community Clean-up Week, running April 20 - 27.
