DESCRIPTION:The Lamplight tour is a time-honoured tradition at the Oshawa Museum. Our s
 ignature event allows visitors young and old to tour through the Museum hom
 es that we decorate to reflect a Victorian Christmas. Oil lamps provide the
  only light in Henry House and looks just as the Henry family would have li
 t their home back in the 1800s. The Durham Storytellers are narrating, “The
  Ballad of Jennie’s Wedding”; her tale of getting married in Henry House in
  1873. Victorian style is everywhere – clothing, music, food, and gift idea
 s!\n \nBe sure to leave enough time for photos with Father Christmas! Museu
 m photographers will be on hand in the Drive Shed by Henry House to snap pi
 cs and post them on Facebook where you can share with family and friends.\n
  \nVisitors will also see Robinson House and its latest exhibit, The Vintag
 e Catwalk, while still experiencing some holiday flare! Two thousand ninete
 en marks the second year of the Lamplight Mini Market in Robinson House. Fe
 atured artisans include Jennuinely Unique Knits, J.L. Webster Creations, Do
 lls Adorned & More and Rock Jewelry Designs.\n \nStop into Guy House wh
 ere you can listen to ghost stories, also from the Durham Storytellers – a 
 common Victorian Christmas tradition! Cider, hot chocolate and popcorn are 
 available; dress up like a Victorian and shop in our Museum Shop!\n \nThis 
 year the Museum is also collecting food and toy donations for Simcoe Hall S
 ettlement House’s Christmas Food and Toy Drive\n \nJoin us for all of the f
 estivities on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm. Tickets are $5 per 
 person and can be purchased online at Eventbrite.ca or at any of the Museum
